This Herkimer Diamond is One of our all-time favorite pieces. Over the years we've had the opportunity and pleasure of knowing many thousands of crystal personally. This particular Herkimer Diamond has without a doubt rightfully earned its spot in our personal collection since day one! Due to increased interest in our High End MASTER STONES, we've decided to make this one available to our beloved clients of both present and future. This one has amazing clear water clarity, and when considering the size of the crystal this is quite uncommon. It weighs 34 grams / 170 carats and measures 45.30mm x 26.16mm x 22.68mm. There is a faint little phantom of smoky tinge visible when I look at this piece on top of a white surface with an indoor light source.
Please watch both videos. They are very important, perhaps more important than the photos are. Photo #2 shows the moving Enhydro bubble. In this picture the bubble is golden. This is actually how it looks when it passes through a specific part of the pyramid style layered trigonal water chamber. This bubble moves about freely. The depth of the chamber is not easy perceived. Sometimes the bubble will become stuck in a shallow end, and when that occurs it can be helpful to give a little pound on the palm or a simple shake to dislodge the bubble once again. So, the bubble can appear as golden or clear depending upon which layer of the chamber it's currently positioned at. Aside from the main bubble there are various other enhydro pockets within this crystal. Most of them are small with faint outlines. Micro-enhydros and hydrocarbon flakes are among the main inclusions within the crystal. The more interesting inclusions appear mystically when a direct, preferably strong, light source is introduced. These are what I refer to as holographic inclusions because they are only visible at certain angles. Photo #3 shows an example of a Rainbow portal that appears in the shade. I certainly don't get bored with the different visuals that this Master Stone provides. Metaphysically this gem is superb. It is an official DOW crystal! One whole termination has the 7-3-7-3-7-3 side configuration on the faces. A skinny right activation window can be found on one of the 7 sided faces. Now on the opposite termination of the crystal there is a left activation window which is attached to an Isis face. The lower right corner of the Isis face has been naturally obstructed by a matrix contact area so it is not complete to the eye. My personal take on this is that the crystal itself manifested an Isis face, and that's good enough for me. It is unfortunate that the matrix covered part of it up at one point, but that's the Life of a Crystal. Photo #6 shows a top view of the c-axis, specifically the one with the official Dow termination. Although not shown in the photos, there are raised trigonal record keeper etchings on most of the main faces. These etchings are somewhat hidden because in order to see them you need to turn the face into a "mirror of light" to see the surface reflections. This anomaly is shown towards the end of the indoor video. This is an excellent channeling crystal and a great enhydro crystal. The Metaphysical and collecting value in this piece is remarkable.
